Fantasy Masquerade 'Be What You Dream to Be'

I get headache! Headache! Headache!
thinking of our Annual Dinner...

Pakaian Beragam punya pasallah!

It's a challenge in choosing the right costume for someone who wears head cover.

In Annual Dinner 2006,
I was pregnant 6 months during that time.
So, I did not wear the costume matching the theme of that night "Motion Pictures".

In 2006, our department costume theme were Memoirs Of Geisha and Titanic.
A lots of other themes like Star Wars, Harry Porters, Wild, Wild, West... Pirates of Caribbeans & The Mask of Zorro.

My major interest during every Annual Dinner - A fine decent gourmet.
FOOD, FOOD, FOOD

Secondly, I wait for stage entertainment,
where the hidden talent revealed,
where the hidden personality and characteristic discovered...
(the other side of our office mate's character that we never know... )

I still remember my friend Miss Jiss
ended up looked like Obi Wan Kenobi (but she didn't mean to be the one).

Dear All,

Kindly be informed that our Annual Dinner is scheduled on 28th May 2008 (58 days away).
Therefore, our HQ Dinner Committee has decided on the Annual Dinner Theme as follow:

"FANTASY MASQUERADE"

'be what you dream to be'

1) For your information, we will have 4 business groups for our Annual Dinner as follow:

1.1) MD Office, NSC and others
1.2) Business Support
1.3) GMS
1.4) SCD

2) Each business group has to create your own group 'FANTASY' (costume).

Enclosed is the example for reference:-

Pretty ugly... very awful!

Any Muslimah who wears head cover during office time but get caught at the the Annual Dinner in this out-fit... surely would be a laughing stocks for the rest of the decades in our company.

Confused... This resembles Peterpan or Robin Hood?
Argh... what a funny ballerina skirts. At a glance I thought it was a green mutant froggie.

Hopefully, anybody wears this costume has a pair of good sculptured thighs.

What's this?

A Corpse's Bride? I guess not. Not bad.

Black is elegant and noble enough - safe choice. If you wear it right, it will not reflect the stupid look.

Nhuh? Nay, nay, nay...

This will make the ones who wears this fatter.

Fat and ugly
I correct: Fatter and uglier
Kembang sana, kembang sini, kembung sana, kembung sini...

Think of something smarter and nicer...

Ayo,yo,yo... For those who dares...

I love this one also. Similar to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...

Cool!

I don't understand! Cheh!

Boleh tahan!

I love this one also. Brilliant and brave in its on class.

Apa ini?

Lovely fairy... wear it and beware...

3) Itinerary
a) Best Employee Presentation
b) Group performance (1 or 2 performance for each group)
4) Prizes: a) Group best dress b) Group best performance c) Lucky draw d) Lucky table

5) Kindly be informed that we are in the process to finalise the venue of our annual dinner.

Should you need further explanation, pls do not hesitate to contact our HQ Annual Dinner Committee:

Thank You & Regards,

Inhaling Oxigen In Perdana Lake Garden (...Exhaling CO2)

Here, in Lake Garden
(I used to walk alone occasionally on Sunday... whilst my hubby still sleeping in the weekend's morning & my kids being taken to visit their grandma and grandpa at kampung)
... a charming nearest place offering me beautiful flowers
and it also has a few horses which are catered for the kids to have ashort ride around the area. It's nice to have a stroll and say hello to the horses.

My favorite corner in Lake Garden is Japanese Garden area, occupied by 'bamboo grass', peebles and tiny bonzai and other shrub.

Still, for fresher and pure atmostphere - I'm dreaming of inhaling oxigen in Royal Belum Tropical Reserve Jungle

I'm dreaming of using natural jungle track in Hutan Lipur Gunung Senyum or Fraser's Hill.
I'm the one who enjoy walk in nature trails...
Imagine, walking through the dreamy forest, full with morning dew on the tree leaves and grasses. I'll make sure I'll stop a while on that nature trails and enjoy the sights and quiteness against the soft chirping sounds oft the birds, and sun rays peeping through the canopy of leaves. I'll let myself immerse in the process, enjoy the sights and sounds of it all!

I'm dreaming of Lake Bera & Lake Chini aquatic panoramic view during lotus seasons.
It might feel so peaceful out in the middle of the lake and it might feel as if you are in another world. Bliss....

Soon, when all those my three little kids already grown up,
only then my dream to those places will come true...

Go Genting Highland (Chin Swee Caves Temple)

Up-Lifting moments

My old friend, Zima and I... just before we entered the "Kota Keriangan".

Didn't know what I did... I just wanted to have a little 'release' there.
Ran from everything that kept following after me...
But then, back to Klang Valley, they keep chasing me again from every corner of my life...

Line clear, no body would ambush me here.
Charkkkk......!

Just beneath my footstep, there's a built-in staffs' hostel, a sort of basement type.

... Yada, yada, yada ....

At Chin Swee Caves Temple

A brief history:
While constructing the road leading to Genting Highlands,
the late tan Sri Lim Goh Tong spotted this cool rocky slope,
covered with green tropical vegetation dotted with flowing streams,
which was very similar to the Chin Swee Crag back in Penglai Village in Fujian, China.

Tan Sri Lim was born in Penglai Village (which is now a township).
Since young, he watched his parents and relatives pay their respects to the Reverend Chin Swee.
The Reverend died at the age of 65 in Penglai after receiving two awards from the Imperial Palace of the Song Dynasty (960AD to 1279AD) and another two awards were presented to him posthumously in praise of his work along with the conferment of the title ‘Venerable Master’ after his death.

Tan Sri Lim became a devotee of the Reverend Chin Swee.
Hence, he was inspired to build a similar temple when he saw the remarkable resemblance between the present Genting Highlands temple site and its original in China.

I tamed the beast successfully...
Macam Lara Croft pulak rasanya...

All the statues here describing the gesture and image of 'Lohan' personality.

Precious ring with magical powers,
Infinitely resourceful.
Vigorous and powerful,
Subduing a ferocious tiger.

Pindola was a Brahmin and a general. Because he was devoted to Buddhism, which forbids killing, he was ordered by the king to become a monk.
He joined a monastery in the mountains where he could hear a tiger howling every day.
He said that the tiger was probably hungry and should be fed some vegetarian food.
Otherwise the tiger might become a man-eater.
So Pindola collected food from the monks and put it in a bucket which he left outside the monastery. The tiger did come for the food every night.
After a period of time, the tiger was tamed.
Thus Pindola was referred to as the Taming Tiger Lohan.

Nak jugak aku menyelit.
Ni second shot. 1st shot hancur,
sebab ader passerby (apek) cross aku punya papparazi...
kuar muka dia makan half photo...
Hasilnya imej aku berada di hujung tanduk idung dia...
macam Thumbellina lah gayanya aku dalam photo yg 'berseni' tuh...

Bed of crysanthemum flowers...

Go Genting Highlands, Cuti-Cuti Malaysia...

Apa?
Sang supir tak nampak sangat kah rupa paras aku

Terpinga-pinga...
Kereta ajaib ke kiri, kami toleh ke kiri
Kereta ajaib ke kanan, maka kami toleh ke kanan...

Aku rasa macam nak tersengih,
tapi sempat meng'cover' takut kelihatan macam kerang busuk...

Apalagi...

Mula-mula aku suruh member aku dok kat depan, sebelah driver,

The Mayonnaise Jar and Coffee Cup

Author Unknown - First appeared in 2001
(but I received a copy claimed authored by:
Laura Bankston).

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle,
when 24 hours in a day are not enough,
remember the mayonnaise jar...

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him.
When the class began, wordlessly,
he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar
and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.
He then asked the students if the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.

So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar.
He shook the jar lightly.
The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.
He then asked the students again if the jar was full.
They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.
Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
He asked once more if the jar was full.
The students responded with a unanimous "yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table
and poured the entire contents into the jar,
effectively filling the empty space between the sand.
The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided,
" I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.
The golf balls are the important things-
your God, family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions-
things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter
like your job, your house, and your car.

The sand is everything else-the small stuff.

"If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued,
"there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.
The same goes for life.
If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff,
you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

Pay attention
to the things that are critical to your happiness.

Spend time with God.
Play with your children.
Take time to get medical checkups.

Take your partner out to dinner.
Play another 18.
There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal."

Take care of the golf balls first,
the things that really matter.

Set your priorities.
The rest is just sand.

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.

The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked.
It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem,
there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."

Reserve Forest Ulu Bendul Recreational Park (Waterfall)

I found this during my housekeeping session last night at my place in Sungai Penchala.
It brought me back to the time
where I was still young and have no ideas what's going to be happenned in another 15 years ahead...

After my graduation day,
I never saw any of my university friends
until I got a phone call on Tuesday morning... April 2007.
A call for re-union!

I loved these series of pictures very much.
We used to be young and rebellious.
Naughty and full of spirits.

We went to Ulu Bendul Waterfall.
It was upper parts of streams where the waterfall flows at the first place before another.
After several trips on the main road to Bahau, Jelebu, Kuala Pilah from Seremban,
that was the first time I succeed to step into Ulu Bendul Recreational Park.

The road to Ulu Bendul Recreational Park (from Seremban towards Kuala Pilah)
via Jalan Bukit Putus...
uh, huh...zig-zag pattern is the signature.
Anybody can tell me how many zig & zag corners?

From left to right;

Oh, I still remember, I was wearing "Rage Against The Machine" T-Shirt that time which I bought at Central Market, Kuala Lumpur.

Memancing Ala Eskimo Atas Lapisan Salji Tebal ( Di Tempat Macam Habitat Anaconda)

Sebenarnya, kali ini aku nak cerita pengalaman aku join aktiviti memancing.
Mancing kat mana?
seperti yg selalu kudengar lewat ceritera suamiku & resam keluarga Pahang.

aku mendongak melihat kepulan pokok hujan berarak suram.

Tiba di Kampung Paya Hangat, di mukim Batu Sawar, Pahang.
Aku terkebil-kebil membaca papan tanda di situ.

Kereta burukku, kereta comotku, kereta cabukku, kereta kemekku
berhenti di tengah denai, di tengah hutan.

Bapa mertuaku, segak berbaju batiknya
bergaya dengan seluar slacknya
mencantas pelepah salak
menyisir daunnya

Aku bertanya pada suamiku
"Hendak diperbuat apakah pelepah salak itu?"

"Hendak diperbuat si joran, kata orang kampungku - "fishing rod".

Apungan teratai subur mekar
sesekali diusik kocakan gelombang

Laman tasik terpencil sunyi
laman terapi barangkali...

Aku masih tercegat di pinggir empangan
masih berdiri
Mata terus mengamati menghayati
pada deruan air yang terjun
ke lohong kunci air

Ahhh... cukup sinonim bagiku.

Paya rawa gambut
Penuh selut
Sarang belida sepat
Lubuk potak dan selat
Daun kiambang mati mereput
akar teratai berselirat berserabut
terapung bagai bot sabut

Ah, berebut-rebut meragut umpan
aku terpempan melibas joran
acap-kali terguling tergolek gelantang
terhumban mengimbangi badan

Lewat remang senja
bingkas bangun bungkus segera
mahu cepat pulang
menyiang, menyiap
menghidang santapan
hendak makan bersama-sama keluarga
& akulah tukang masaknya.

Biar Mati Anak, Jgn Mati BMW

i terima email ni dari seorang kawan....
kesian baby tu.... gara2 sayangkan BMW....nyawa dia dipertaruhkan....mmmmmm....

Subject: Let Your Child Die, Don't Let Your BMW Die, Don't You Ever!

Masa rehat Jumaat tadi, wife aku pegi Shah Alam Mall.

Terdengar orang sekeliling sedang memarahi perempuan tu...

Pompuan A:

umpil aje la pintu kereta ni

Mak Budak tu:

tak boleh ...(sambil menangis)...nanti suami saya on the way balik ambil kunci spare...

Pompuan C

: Isk tengok tu, sengsaranya baby tu menangis, u sanggup biar anak u mati ke?

Mak budak tu:

(sambil menangis)...nanti suami saya marah...

Pakcik B:

isk kalau saya punya anak, kalau tertinggal kunci,
saya takkan patah balik rumah,
saya pecahkan aje cermin kereta ni...

Pakcik C:

"Mana bapaknya???"

Mak Budak tu:

"Dia balik Meru ambil kunci"

Semua orang:

"Apa! Meru!!!"

Suasana menjadi kelam kabut
sebab orang ramai menjerit-jerit memaksa untuk pecahkan cermin kereta tu.
suasana gamat macam perhimpunan haram...

Tapi mak budak tu tak berani buat keputusan.
Dia asyik kata..."saya takut suami saya marah"
"Tunggu suami saya datang"...

Sambil beberapa orang pergi mencari tools
utk pecahkan cermin keta,
beberapa orang pengawal keselamatan

Cina mekanik memberi komen
" aiya ini keleta tak boleh umpil, kena kasik picah cermin juga baru boleh masuk!"

Tak lama kemudian seorang mamat tiba dengan kapak keselamatan,
maka dikapak cermin tepi sebelah pemandu...praannng....!!!! Selesai masalah...

Seorang lagi lelaki menjerit "biar saya periksa dia.... saya doktor".

mungkin bapak dia singgah makan sate kambing dulu...

sampai hati......ingatkan kita bangsa kita
ni penuh dengan sopan santun, adat ketimuran, penuh kasih sayang, compassionate, etc berbanding org Kafir......
